Pastor’s Corner

03 January, 2016

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” – Philippians 1:3-6

Pastor Willie D. Hall, Interim Pastor

To My Tabernacle Family

I greet you in the matchless name of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

As I look back over the last 53 years that I have spent as a member of Tabernacle. I join Paul as He thanks God for the Philippians for their Participation and fellowship in the gospel. As I remember what the fellowship has been to me, and the people that have and are influencing my life. I just thank you, and most of all, God.

The last month of 2015 was a source of great appreciation for all that went on, the shopping and preparation for the Watts World Revival Give Away, and the very moving presentation by the Youth Church. Not forgetting the impromptu Christmas Concert by our own Brother George Saunders, Jr. In all of this, we give God the glory.

There’s a saying (I don’t remember it’s origin) that says, “God has been good and people have been kind, but they don’t have to be kind to you.

And again on Christmas Morning we gathered to praise and worship the Lord, as we remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks to all who made the morning so special, From Sis. Chelsea Williams, Sis. Judy Johnson, Bro. George Saunders, Jr. and the very talented Christopher Family. It was also great to have such a good time fellowshipping after the Services.

We as a Church have come a long ways. For 71 Years we have served God by serving His people. God has blessed us with 3 undershepheards to the Present Time, and I’m sure He has the next one already picked out, waiting for us to Receive him or her. It is my prayer that we will be ready to receive God’s gift.

God Has It All Worked Out

“So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.” – Ezekiel 33: 7

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” – Jeremiah 3:15

In each scripture, God is stating what He will do, to give and all He requires of us is to receive His gift. Pray with me as we wait for His gift.

It is my prayer that as we move into this year, we will keep focused on being the servants of God to His people.

In His Service
Willie D. Hall
