Hearing And Accepting God’s Calling

Hearing And Accepting God’s Calling:

Isaiah 6:6-8: {6} Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: {7}  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity i taken s away, and thy sin purged. {8} Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to introduce myself to you. I am Reverend John David Long, the newly-elected Senior Pastor of Tabernacle Of Faith Baptist Church. Welcome to TheTab. Every Christian possesses the gifts of faith, salvation, love, and eternal life and residence with God (We will live in heaven with Jesus Christ.). But each of us also possesses a special calling to sacrifice our lives to God and every other human being and fulfill the specific calling that God has ordained for us. When called the prophet Isaiah he asked him the following question: Whom shall I send and who will go for us?

Each one of us possesses the capacity to choose to submit to or reject God’s calling, will and purpose in our lives. God has a special task that He selected especially for each one of us. It is a task that is ours alone and one that only we can fulfill. God is calling us daily and continuously to hear and submit to His voice by fulfilling our calling. What will you do when you are in the tabernacle of grace, just you and God and He asks you: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us. Will you resist God’s call? Will you reject God’s call? Or will you stand up, speak up, and take up the mantle of your calling to fulfill the Will and Purpose of God in your life?

The choice that you must make to accept or reject your calling is yours alone. You are a free moral agent who can choose to serve God and others or serve yourself.  In Isaiah 6:8, Isaiah answered God’s call by standing up, stepping forward, and saying: “Here I am Lord, send me! We fulfill our life and our purpose when we do the same thing, make the same choice.
