Pastor’s Corner

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.”  – Psalm 119: 133

02 August, 2009

My dearly beloved “PARTNERS”  in The Lord’s WORK

Well, well here we are in the month of August, the 8th month of the year 2009.  We thank God that we benefited from His loving kindness above all “HIS TENDER MERCY”, to cross over to another coveted opportunity to till the soil in His fertile vineyard, and beyond the walls of the Church.  Yes, yes thank God for one more day, one more chance.  God is Good, and All the TIME, GOD IS GOOD.

The past month was spiritually rich and rewarding in every way, and more importantly, souls were added to our membership.  For certain, it was a most busy month highlighted by the following:

2nd Sunday – Graduates Recognition Sunday

Our Vacation Bible School

Our Annual Church Picnic

Our Annual Men’s Day Service.

The month of August is now before us, and we do solicit your unstinted prayers and support for our regular Services and special activities during this month.

We are in the countdown, for the month of October at which time we shall celebrate a milestone; Our 65th Church Anniversary Observance all month long.  Our dear members, Deacon Alvin and Sis. Jackoyln King, are Co-Chairpersons for this years 65th Church Anniversary.  Various Committees are now at work for the related Services and activities in connection with the Church Anniversary, i.e. Souvenir Book and the Anniversary Banquet.  We fully recognize that we are in tough economic times, but we have faith in our God who has been our “Help In Ages Past”, and our sure “Hope For Years to Come.”  We never could have reached this milestone without “HIM”.

Let us continue to be much in prayer for our many, many sick and shut in, our President, Our Country, and for suffering Humanity everywhere.  Beloved Keep the Faith – God Has the POWER,

Faithfully Yours,

Pastor R.M. Leffall, III
