“Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers.”
- Ezra 8: 28

My Dearly Beloved Family and Partners in the LORD’S WORK:

We greet you once more in the Name of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  These days, weeks and months are passing so swiftly; here we are at the month of June, the mid-point of the historic ear, 2009.  We thank God for His tender mercy; for having spared us to cross over to another coveted opportunity to be about the Masters Work in WORD, ACTION, DEED and HOLY PURPOSE.

The past month was rich, spirit filled, and rewarding in every way.  It was highlighted by our ‘Annual Women’s Day Service’, with our dear friend Mrs. Crystal Cohen as our guest speaker.  It was a powerful and great time of Worship, Praise and Celebration.  We are grateful to our Women’s Day Leadership, namely; Sister Maye Helen Leffall, Sister Madge Lytle and Sister Constance Stanley for a job well done.  We also express our gratitude to the fine cadre of Captains, Co-Captains, and of course, the women of  our  Church for what each did to insure the spiritual and financial success of Women’s Day 2009.  We salute our faithful member, Sister Eugenia Jackson, our Woman of the Year 2009.  She is indeed a dedicated and faithful servant of the Lord, and is an inspiration to all of us.

We closed the past month with the Financial Literacy Workshop to teach our young people the principles of Saving and Money Management.   It was highly successful and the second workshop will be held on the 4th Saturday in June, Sister Jackie King was principal coordinator, assisted by Makeba Neely and Vernisha Stanley.  We held on last Sunday our 5th Sunday Mission Emphasis Sunday, with great music by the Mission Chorus led under the capable direction of Sister Florence Bean, and followed by a powerful Sermon from our own Rev. Charles Williams, Jr.

The month of June is now before us, and we do solicit your prayers and support for all of or special Services and activities.  We do call your particular attention to our ‘Annual Children’s Youth Day Service’ on next Sunday at 11:00 a.m.  Rev. Michael Holliness will be our guest Minister.  Also, there will be participation by our young people in every aspect of this Service.  We salute our leadership and volunteers in the Youth Church Ministry, they are doing a wonderful job, and God is richly blessing this Ministry.

We salute all of our Graduates.  We are mighty proud of you, and we plan to honor all of our Graduates the latter part of June or early July.

Let us continue to be in prayer for our sick and shut-in, bereaved, military persons, and for the suffering humanity locally, nationally, and throughout the world.  We pray for God’s continued favor upon both you and yours.  I remain ……………..

Faithfully yours,
Pastor R.M. Leffall, III
