Pastor’s Corner

05 April, 2009

“These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” – Luke 10: 2

My dearly beloved “FAMILY”

We greet you once more time in the most precious name of our Lord, Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ who has spared us to cross over to the month of April.

Today your “Pastor” along with our Associate Ministers and  “Team Jamaica Members” are in the West Indies on a “Missionary Journey” to our Mission Church, The Tabernacle of Faith Mission Church located in May Pen, Jamaica.  Please pray with us and for us in this “Holy Weed” of Worship, Prayer, Praise and Fellowship, with God’s grace, we shall be back for our “resurrection Service” on next Lord’s Day.

The past month was rich and fruitful in everyway for we had new members to become a part of our family both as Candidates for Baptism and by Christian Experience.  Praise God for Whom All Blessings Flow.  We closed the month on a high spiritual “note” with our 5th Sunday Mission Emphasis Service.  Our Mission Church under the capable direction of Sis. Florence Bean, warmed our hearts in the Ministry of Music. A special highlight was the Commissioning Ceremony for “Team Jamaica”, followed by a soul stirring Sermon by Pastor Willie D. Hall.

The month of April is now before us.  Our focus is to move from mere Membership to Discipleship, Therefore, our continuing goal is that each of us would become soul winners, to reach out as never before to the unsaved, and persons without a church home.  And too, we want to partner with our Superintendent, Bro. George Saunders Jr., in the revitalization of our Sunday School Ministry.  Every member should attend Sunday School.  It is our prayer and hope that the fruits of Sunday Bible School thrust, will spill over to increased participation in All of our Ministries.  Each Group/Ministry Leader is asked to step forward in support of this undertaking.  Remember beloved that all that we do is about being a “FOLLOWER OF CHRIST”.  It’s all about HIM.

Let us continue to be much in prayer for our sick and shutin, infirmed, bereaved and suffering humanity everywhere.  If you have the FAITH, GOD HAS THE POWER.

May God richly bless both you and yours, and I remain yours,

In The Bond of Christ,

Pastor R.M. Leffall, III
