“ To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious” – 1 Peter 2: 4

My Dearly Beloved “FAMILY”

We thank our God for having spared us to cross over to the month of August. The year 2013 is swiftly moving to a close. Yes one more day, one more golden privilege to be about the Lord’s BUSINESS in GODLY-PURPOSE.

The Past month was a busy one yet it was rewarding in every way. Most
importantly, and the bottom line it was fruitful. Young souls were added to our
membership via our highly successful “Vacation Bible School”. We closed the month on a Sunday last with our ‘Annual Men’s Day Service” … O My Lord, what a great time we witnessed in Worship, Praise, Celebration, and of course the proclamation of the Word by our guest preacher, The Reverend Andrew Taylor

In the scripture cited above, the apostle Peter described Jesus as a living stone. He wrote, “coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house”. ( I Peter 2: 4-5) Precious in the eyes of the Father is the sacrifice of the Rock of our salvation. Christ is the enduring stone upon which the Father has built our salvation and the only foundation for meaningful life (I Cor. 3: 11). It is only as our lives are built upon His strength that we will be able to endure the harshness of life in a fallen world.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name. – Mote

The month of August is now before us, and we do solicit your prayers and
support for all of our regular and special Services. This one added reminder, we urge every loyal member to be faithful and consistent in the financial support of the TABERNACLE, through Offering and Tithes. We do want to remain on target with our
approved budget for this year.

Let us continue to be much in prayer for each other, our many, many sick and shut-in, public, charter, college/university students, infirmed, bereaved and suffering humanity within our local community, state, nation and around the world. Also, lift up in daily prayer, President Barrack Obama.

Yours in Christ
