Pastor’s Corner – October 2008

Pastor’s Corner

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

My beloved “Partners”, In the Work of our Lord.

We greet you once more, and thank God for having crossed us over to another month.  We thank Him, we praise Him, we magnify Him.  For certain, He is worthy of our highest Praise.

The past month was rich and rewarding to this “Household of Faith” in everyway.  We had spirit filled Services, and more importantly souls were added to the Church as Candidates and by Restoration.  We closed the month on a high spiritual note with our “Annual Family/Homecoming Day Service.”  Sis. Arlene Breckenridge gave outstanding leadership as Chairperson for this Annual Service. Our friend Dr. Jerome Fisher warmed our hearts with his soul stirring sermon “But For The Moment”.  The Choir, under the direction of Sis. Florence Bean inspired us through the Ministry of Music.  To one and all who made this a great time of Worship, Reflection, Praise, Celebration and of course, feasting on earthly bread at our Fellowship Feast,  we thank you, we appreciate You, You and You!

In connection with our upcoming November Election, we do encourage you to VOTE and if you have registered do so TOAY.  The deadline for VOTER REGISTRATION is October 20th.  Remember EVERY VOTE COUNTS!

Finally, let us continue to be much in prayer for our sick and shut-in, bereaved, infirmed, and suffering humanity everywhere.

Peace & Blessings!!
