We praise God for having spared us, the people of God, this “Household of Believers, to cross over to the month of May. The past month was a rich and rewarding one is everyway, we had spirit filled Services, souls were added, we “Baptized”, so “We Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.”
In the scripture cited above we have another Godly plea to “Go Back To The Basics.” God gives an exhortation through the Apostle Paul. He was not pleased, for some people were going the wrong direction, they abandoned the TRUTH. So the text talks about the way back to the fold with much needed principles of praying – look at them – – – (1) SUPPLICATION – laboring and sweating in prayer; ( 2) PRAYER – asking and receiving; (3) INTERCESSION – on behalf of somebody else; and lastly (4) GIVING THANKS when we walk with God in everything say THANK YOU!! WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE. He deserves total praise.
The month of May is now before us. As always we desire your prayers and support for all of our Services and Special activities this month. Our major Service this month is our “Annual Women’s Day Service” with Sister Edna Tatum as our guest speaker, and of course great singing by the Women’s Day Choir, under the direction of Sister Gwen Taylor. Our Women’s Day leadership, is led by Sister Maye Helen Leffall and Sister Madge Lytle, as Co-Chairs and a cadre of Captains and Co-Captains. By now you have received a letter asking for your support for Women’s Day. Just do your best, and above all, let’s make this a banner and spirit filled day for the Lord.
Finally, let us continue to be much in prayer for our sick and shut-in, hospitalized, bereaved, and suffering humanity everywhere. When prayers ascend to God’s throne, BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS COME DOWN.
May God continue to richly bless both you and yours, and I remain.
Yours in Christ
Pastor R.M. Leffall, III
